Feeling Great

I had a few spare moments so I thought I would come on here and blab on a bit about how my progress is going and how great I feel. I have now lost the few pounds that snuck on over the Christmas holidays and smack dab in the middle of a bunch of good habits. I have been skiing lots, and have taken my son out twice and we are planning to take him out again the next weekend that he is with us. I will edit this post when I get home and add some pictures that we took on the weekend up on the mountain, it was so beautiful!

I am getting to be not too bad at skiing, I have done my first blue run and I am pretty confident in my abilities and I am looking forward to trying more runs the next time I get out on the mountain, which might be on the weekend. My boyfriend has Saturday off, he usually works from noon until 2am so it will be a real treat for us both to have the extra weekend day together. We are hoping to go out snowshoeing, I have only been once when I was quite young so it should be quite fun!

I went out for a 25 minute run on my lunch break, I had planned to go out running last night after work but the rain was coming down too hard. I changed into my running clothes right after work to make sure that I wouldn't cop out, and it was raining a bit initially, but after dinner it was pouring!

We had a nice healthy meal together last night, it was PC Orzo with beans and goat cheese and peas. My son made a face when he saw all the peppers in the meal, but he ate them all up. I told him that he had better get used to eating veggies since his Mom is a vegetarian now. He said he doesn't like them but he will eat them. He does like quite a lot of veggies so I can't complain too much, but you really can't taste peppers in a dish like that.

Anyways, I had better get back to the grind. I will check in again soon, and add in some pictures!

Ok, here are the photos from this weekend at Grouse, such a good time!

  1. I am a veggie too, aiming for veganism - I admire your food choices, I look at your diary all the time and want to eat that healthy too. Good to read your blog again.

  2. Thanks Anita. I rarely eat eggs or milk or yogurt but I do love my cheese, I don't think I could ever give it up. Time will tell though!
